Haunts
The Haunted Landscape, portraits of beauty in decay. Whether it is the echoes of lived history upon a place or the splendor of the evenings golden light mystifying portraits lost to time, we find the remnants of our past creations beautiful, captivating and nostalgic. After my exploration of the haunts that dwell with the accessible realm of my domain, I was left wondering, is the warm yet ghostly images I experienced simply a trick of light playing upon aesthetic ideal engrained into my consciousness, or perhaps, is there something supernatural dwelling in these places, echoes of which captured by the camera? Regardless of where the truth resides, I am left with a new appreciation for lost, forgotten, and broken places our modern developments have left behind. Never will I forget how the picturesque and the haunted are so obviously intertwined in the imagery that illustrates them.

I'm a student at Fanshawe College studying Environmental Design and Planning. I grew up in New York, Chicago and Sparta Ontario. I try to be an environmental advocate and spend much of my time on an Organic Farm in Sparta. I enjoy biking and time at the beach, as well as the occasional video game binge.I am fortune to have studied under the great Dr. Douglas and strive to apply the knowledge thus departed upon me.
